Complete electric power steering rack and pinion. The assembly in the photos includes the steering-gear housing, electric assist motor with its connector harness, the rack, tie rods on both ends, and dust boots on both sides.

The label on this unit reads 1188832-00-A, LHD, Made in China.

• Model 3, 2017–2023, left-hand drive, before the Highland refresh
• Model Y, 2020–2024, left-hand drive, before the Juniper refresh
• Direct match when the original steering-gear label is 1188832-00-A

Not compatible with
• Right-hand-drive Model 3 or Model Y
• Model 3 Highland (steering gear is commonly 1344831-00-B or 1344831-00-C)
• Model Y Juniper
• Any car whose original label uses a different base number

Match the original part number and LHD label before ordering. More than one steering gear was used across these model years, including a subframe change on early Model 3. The label on the car is the reliable check. Later suffixes such as 1188832-00-B are a different revision; this unit is 1188832-00-A.

Installation
